Is the GOM going to get hot in a couple of days?
No this is not a poll, just a question to start the thread. Looks to be a good spin located on the mid Yucatan coast moving west. Since this system is weak crossing over land should not hurt, if anything it could help fire some more thunderstorms which it can take into the BOC. The gulf is ripe for development, low shear,hot water and spark moving in from the east. I think in a couple of days the gulf could get going.

You mean the lid is ready to blow off the gulf?
