Is the GOM going to get hot in a couple of days?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Is the GOM going to get hot in a couple of days?

No this is not a poll, just a question to start the thread. Looks to be a good spin located on the mid Yucatan coast moving west. Since this system is weak crossing over land should not hurt, if anything it could help fire some more thunderstorms which it can take into the BOC. The gulf is ripe for development, low shear, hot water and spark moving in from the east. I think in a couple of days the gulf could get going.

Very possible, remnant energy from what was once 97L could head into the GOM, this is a scenario that has been discussed for days and days and I am still sticking to it. There is more then a "doubtful" chance that something could get going here contrary to what rainstorm would say..........
