Just had a feeder go through with 50-60 mph and a transformer blew up down the streeet..fire department is down there now. folks, dont go outside in between bands you will get hit by limbs when the feeders moce in..trust me..i just saw a guy get hit out in the street. weather going downhill quickly. stay safe folks.

Where in Ft. Lauderdale? I'm .706 of a mile from the beach on Commercial. Haven't seen anything close to 50 to 60 yet. Haven't heard any transformers blow yet. They look awesome at night when they explode - deep purple and blue explosions. I'll never forget that during Andrew. They just kept exploding - one after another. It's a surreal and ominous experience when combined with the howling wind.
