Yes that is pretty amazing... and makes me more nervous here in Tallahassee. Doesn't take much wind to knock trees down around here.
Back in '85 when Kate passed by we had thousands of trees down and power out in some places for 2 weeks, and the highest official sustained wind was 47 mph and highest gust was 67mph!

Believe it or not, about 10 minutes ago my power flickered out.
The storm isn't even coming here and TECO's grid around my area is so poor that it just blows itself out on it's own... amazing
Oh well, we can rest assured the strongest rainband we get isn't a fraction of what the N gulf coast is going to feel :\
