So, "I'm not Ivan"
Local Met on Fox news said that the area off the coast of Florida is not Ivan...but it is a "deposit" that Ivan left off the coast. It is projected to come into the GOM as a low and have significant rain in the New Orelans area on Wednesday and Thursday. He also added that he is concerned because the way that things have been going this year, the low may develop into something.

According the some post-analysis maps ... Ivan is no more. Ivan became extratropical and moved well off to the NE, but leaving a piece behind at the 500mb level (vort max) which is now sliding SW towards FL ... still some very cool air behind and would have to fight off, 1) modified polar air 2) very low levels of moisture availability ...
