Jeanne SSWn movement

This movement SSW makes me more nervous because theirs no sign of a true westward movement yet. The further south it goes the harder to make a turn completely to the north. Just an opinion.Comments welcome.

If she doesn't start to turn more westerly within a couple of hours, I'm going to have to revise my opinion and say she gets south of 25N rather than getting just short of 25N. The longer she keeps this up, the worse it is for Florida.

It can still make an abrupt turn north, but the further south in lattitude it gets now, the closer to Florida it will get.

I read it as a wobble. But it would be funny if she stalled and went back NE from there. Her eyewall is now south of us!

I agree, Boca, but Jeanne was looking rather ragged in the last IR. I expect she will be getting in some warmer waters though, so that should help intensification.

Hurricanes can turn very easily. It doesnt matter how long it stays on this course.

I wouldn't call this a wobble ... looking at thw WV loop, it's clear that the ridge is still pushing south on top of her. I figured it's perimiter to have stopped progressing south by now.

Models do not show Jeanne going below 25...if she does, it's a new ball game....her swing west then northwest will bring her through South Florida, through the center of the state and exiting around Daytona on her way up to the Carolinas...Just my opinion.
