i have to agree....at least with the useless new orleans evacuation you had a cat 4/5 headed in that direction (linear extrapolation)....so i could see why they may want to ignore forecasts.
a cat 2 headed well north with offshore winds nearly guaranteed? wow....seems like someone is crying wolf too often.

IF the hurricane continues to move due west & does'nt deviate North Miami-Dade county receives hurricane force winds & the central portion of the county gets hurricane force gusts.
IF the hurricane takes just a few wobbles south before landfall north MIami-Dade county gets the southern eyewall.

hey dont evacuate..its not like they are going to take you out kicking and screaming...you can stay but you are on your own if conditions get bad.

ask those Pensacola beach homeowners whether they should have evacuated...ohh..thats right, theyre dead. You really want to gamble your life on this?
