lets hope oct is a slow month. look at the sst's both east and west of fla. very very much below normal.

Everyone needs a MUCH-needed and deserved break...sitting back and enjoying the crisp cool days of October and November, admiring the foliage, enjoying the Krispy Kremes and apple cider, cheering on your favorite college/pro football teams, etc. :D

about the only place now where a cane could move and deepen is from the west carib to the northwest where sst's are warm. thats not normal in oct. lets hope the season is done

Some Krispy Kreme trivia:

A former pastor of mine in Roanoke Rapids, NC...his father who was an artist did the logo for that doughnut industry! :) :wink:

My favorites are the chocolate-iced ones! :D I'll save you some David, Linda and any others who want some! :D

The Caribbean Sea is the favored area in October & sorry to tell ya that those SST's are still above normal.

Also that warm water you see that is east of the cooler pool that was left over from Jeanne will tend to circulate westward & moderate those cooler waters.

Anyhow other than that cooler than normal area that ATL basin is still somewhat above normal.

This season is far from over.

I love the Raleigh area in the fall. I once attended the State Fair and drank some of that delicious cider.

I think we can see another extremely powerful storm in the W Caribbean in October, similar to Mitch. 2004 just keeps on surprising us.
