I have whatever is there when I get to KY. I don't do a tree here since my place isn't big enough for any major Christmas activity. And I'm just not yet accustomed to the warm weather during Christmas. It doesn't feel right here. Gives me the bah-humbugs. But by the time I get to KY, I'm ready and totally in a Christmas mood. :)

Real tree here too. We always recycle it though. That's a big issue with me - seeing discarded xmas trees at the curb with garbage. Recycling them isn't that difficult and in my area, it's free. But you need to drop it off yourself before Jan. 4.

They come around here with a special Christmas tree pick-up. Makes it easy on everybody :-)

fake...first ever...bought it after X-Mas last year at half price. Its got frosted tips that look like snow. I was getting tired of the yearly trip to Christmas tree town for the endless hunt for the perfect tree. Then the dissapointment of getting home, rigging it up, and hearing nothing but complaints about how bad the tree looked.

Neither,

I do celebrate Christmas; however, I feel that the tree is too secular in nature and detracts from the true meaning of the holiday, which is the birthday of Jesus. That is what, and the only thing that Christmas is and should be about

Derek - You are correct regarding the true meaning of Christmas. But a Christmas tree is such a tradition in my family, and decorating one each year reminds me of how close my family used to be during the holidays. So for me it is a way to keep great childhood memories alive, rather than an actual representation of Christmas.

Same with my family, John and Derek.

I am not completely 'into' the putting it (the Christmas Tree) up... it tends to be more of a "chore," for lack of a better word.
