Two 2005 International 10-wheeled box trucks were stolen Wednesday from Verdicon, a subsidiary of United Agri-Products in Mulberry.
The suspects cut the lock on the fence to the property and stole the trucks. Within one of the trucks was a canister of Vikane gas, which is used by exterminators to tent buildings. The gas is highly toxic and could be very dangerous if opened.
A B.O.L.O. (meaning be on the lookout) has been issued statewide for the trucks. They are marked on all sides with the company logo saying Verdicon, an upside down pyramid of green, blue and red, and DOT number 1203339. The truck with the gas has placards stating "Inhalation Hazard" on its sides, and Florida tag NO7-83F.
The gas is odorless, colorless and tasteless. If anyone locates either truck or the canister of gas, please call 911.
Nobody should attempt to open the gas canister.
