i was just about to post that:) notice the beginnings of the convection on the SW Quad that are starting to burst that will get larger and will eventually close off the circulation..

That looks as choppy as an old computer game on the Commodore 64.

Looking at this loop a SW La. landfall is not out of the question. IMO

Wx_warrior, your insults will only make Ed angry... :cheesy:

In all seriousness, for the first time, Ed is starting to look like a formidable tropical storm. Seems like it's getting organized in accordance with the forecast.

i just did some doppler estimates.. and founds some 43kts just off shore well away from the center those are at about 10,000 feet though so they will will probably find about the same strength or a little higher.. but the big difference i think will be the wind field will have changed now that there convection in almost all quads.

From 1995 to the present, only 1995 and 2005 had their "E" storm form earlier in the year.

Another historical fact just in case you think this season has been boring!

Yes, stormcenter, I agree...

Earlier I said it looked poorly organized (on radar), and, the radar display still doesn't look that impressive, but, it does seem to be better organized on satellite, so, we'll see what happens, though I agree that it seems to be moving more towards the WNW or NW over the past few hours...

Of course Sw LA isn't out of the question but I don't see movement really being much more then slightly north of west at present.

As people have mentioned its lookng better and better now and really trying to wrap around at last with cells trying to now wrap around the southern side as well.
