Looking at this loop a SW La. landfall is not out of the question. IMO

In all seriousness, for the first time, Ed is starting to look like a formidable tropical storm. Seems like it's getting organized in accordance with the forecast.

i just did some doppler estimates.. and founds some 43kts just off shore well away from the center those are at about 10,000 feet though so they will will probably find about the same strength or a little higher.. but the big difference i think will be the wind field will have changed now that there convection in almost all quads.

Yes, stormcenter, I agree...
Earlier I said it looked poorly organized (on radar), and, the radar display still doesn't look that impressive, but, it does seem to be better organized on satellite, so, we'll see what happens, though I agree that it seems to be moving more towards the WNW or NW over the past few hours...
