Not sure if this has been posted but here's a link to Doppler Radar in the area. Just click on "doppler radar" at the top. The eye is creeping into the frame.

Landfall looks to be near Lingig - population 30,000.

Bislig Bay is somewhat protected but I wonder if it still could bring a storm surge in? Inside that bay is Bislig - population 115,000.

Actually from these latest images you can see some weakening starting since the thunderstorms in the intense solid core (ring of black color) are starting to weaken (less back colors in the core ring.) Clearly the thunderstorm tops in the core are starting to warm due to land interaction. This is some small good fortune but not nearly enough since it will still come onshore as an extremely powerful typhoon.

ADT agrees with the weakening trend too, but it will not come onshore as anything weaker than a strong CAT4

It will severely affect millions of people, as Davao is the third largest city of the Philippines.

From the latest track, it has more possibility to make landfall over Davao Oriental.

It may be tiny compared to, say, Sandy, but the size has definitely increased - tropical storm-force winds cover all of Mindanao based on that yellow circle.

It may not be 140 knots anymore, because the JTWC analysed that the T-number of Bopha has reached 7.5 just now.

Earlier tonight we ran a several hour live cast on this storm, myself and 3 other people that commonly post here. Thanks for everyone that joined as well. Lets hope we helped some people.

This video below though is that long cast condensed down in about 5 minutes. I hope its useful..
