The new Euro change may imply a stall - or more s. track - then to n.e. Looks blocked on all sides - but not south?

Looks like the strongest NAM 12k run yet, sub 990 southwest of Houston. It's finally seeing the pressure falls with the MLC center because of latent heat release.
First off the charts NAM 3k run as well.

That might even be lower than some of the extreme sub 900 mb runs it had for Harvey and Michael.

Nothing beats the HWRF 7XXmb runs it had for that one WPAC storm last year.
I was worried I'd end up stuck in a library with Jake Gyllenhaal.

Unrealistic, but has there ever been a sub 900 mb storm in the GOM? What about the Atlantic?

Wilma at 882mb in Caribbean. Rita might have been sub-900mb in the Gulf.

Wilma at 882mb. Rita might have been sub-900mb in the Gulf as well.
Forgot about Allen and Gilbert as well.
A cordial correction: Wilma and Gilbert attained their respective minimum pressures over the western Caribbean, not the Gulf. Allen attained its minimum over the Yucatán Channel. According to official records in HURDAT, Rita is the only recorded tropical cyclone since 1851 to have attained a minimum pressure below 900 mb while over the Gulf of Mexico. Undoubtedly, there have been many other cases that have gone unrecorded, possibly including Camille in 1969, which may have dipped below 900 mb between (sparse) reconnaissance passes.
Edit: Thank you for the clarification. I had no intention to argue.

I wasn't saying that Wilma was 882mb in the Gulf. I just meant it was one that had gone sub-900.
I can remember Wilma with that pinhole eye in the NW Caribbean like it was yesterday. Just unreal.
