At 850mb...that really only comes out to 57kts using 80% reduction. Gonna be a close call for upgrade at 5PM..

According to that last report, we have an 80 mph hurricane. Even more interesting is that the system is looking even better as time goes by. I think we will see some more strengthening before it reaches cooler waters. Don might be on to something...

88 knots over the southeast quad. Just think of how strong it is over the northeast. This storm is must likely going to top around 90 mph.

Actually, the storm is now moving NE, so the strongest winds would be located near the E-SE quadrants, which are the right-front quadrants of the storm.
