Just curious to see what people think about FL getting hit...I think a storm from the GOM and/or Caribbean is likely but I'm only predicting 1.

2, if that ridge continues to be fluxuating in intensity, it could fluxuate at the right time and send and Irene-tracked storm into the boiling waters off of Florida and boom, another hurricane into FL shores.

Folks are still making repairs here north of Orlando from last season's damage. House down the street traded in the blue tarps for a new roof last week. Can't imagine what Port Charlotte residents may still be going through.

The sea turtles along FL's coast could definitely use the break as well.

If I had my way, all storms would become fish all over the globe.

I said three but I didn't read the topic right. I was counting Dennis that hit Florida in July. So I should had voted 2.

I think maybe one tropical storm for Florida from the Caribbean or maybe a homegrown storm forming near the coast. I just get the feeling any east coast threat from the tropical Atlantic is likely going to be somewhere further to the north. JMO.

Two hurricanes. One major on the East Coast in September.

Ok. Two "storms". One "strong" one on the East Coast in "the fall".

This season doesn't seem to have the Florida Peninsula in its crosshairs, like last year. I feel for the folks in Pensacola (two majors in 10 months), but otherwise, the synoptic pattern seems totally different from last year.

I chose 2. For no particular reason other than instinct. Just a WAG!
