I was about 16 0r 17 when one friday morning me and a couple of my friends got "lost" on the way to school and went to the beach and had a grand old time. Someoene in the attendance office found it strange that all 3 of us were out on the same day since we were seen hanging around together all the time and our parents were called. I got home and my mother asked me how school was. Thats when I knew I was busted. I fessed up to what we did and why we did it and after dad got home there was a family conference. Since it had been several years since i was in trouble i escaped punishment at home ..only got 3 hours of detention at school.

I must have been five or six -- old enough to take a bath by myself, in any case. Asked Mom if I could have a bubble bath and she said yes. I started the water and poured the soap powders in and got in myself. It didn't make bubbles...yelled the fact to Mom...she said to add some more soap powder...I did...two or three times...still no bubbles. Yelled at Mom again...she came to check..yelled "Oh, Lord"...snatched me out of the tub...emptied it, rinsed it two or three times...put me into it again standing up. She washed me down head to toe and rinsed me off at least three times before she slathered me with cold cream and put me to bed.
I had used up an almost full box of Spic and Span trying to get bubbles.
I was still red the next morning.

I lit a plastic airplane model on fire so I could pretend it was crashing and burning.
However, as the pilot was on the radio sending out "May Day, May Day!," I held the burning craft with my left hand and flew it over my right.
That burning plane took a ride about 50 feet away as its melting plastic wing dripped onto my index finger.
I still have evidence of the crash that day in the form of some small burn scars right above my knuckles.
There was a wonderful safety record with all future model vehicles I built. Not a one ever burned again.
