From what I read-TD 10 is a fish?
The sense that I get from reading posts on this board is that TD 10 is a fish for the U.S.E.C. Is that an accurate impression? The trough will kick it out to sea?

There has been much discussion on another thread about the deep east coast trough that will be in place by late in the weekend (highs in the northeast this weekend will only be in the 60s and 70s, a testimony to the trough's strength).

X-y-no, this is what I am referring to. Troughs like this kick the storms out don't they?
Thanks Frank. The above is what I was referring to.

Yes, I understood that, but my point is that the discussion here has certainly not been conclusive in saying that this trough will be strong enough or correctly timed to pick up the system before it gets to the coast.
At the very least, I think this will get substantially closer than Irene did.

Indeed, I think the soonest it COULD pick the storm up would be in 120 hrs or so, when the system is in the Bahamas.

This trough will be out of the picture by the time TD 10 makes it close enough in my opinion...

Here is the 500mb GFS from 6Z. Trough not far enough south to really impact TC 10 as it looks HERE.

In my personal opinion, and that is all this is, XTD10 will not be a fish but will impact the east coast. Everyone should be paying attention because when this storm finally spins up (and it will eventually spin up), there will not be a lot of warning time to get prepared (which you should already be anyway). Pay attention, folks!
