I was listening to MSNBC and the anchor said "DH star injured" and I immediately went searching.

Marcia Cross of 'Housewives' engaged

Friday, August 19, 2005; Posted: 3:52 p.m. EDT (19:52 GMT)

Cross last weekend accepted a proposal from her boyfriend, stockbroker Tom Mahoney, the actress's publicist, Heidi Slan, said in a statement Friday.

"The happy couple have not set a date for the wedding yet," said Slan.

It will be the first marriage for both Cross and her 47-year-old fiance. The engagement was first reported by Us Weekly.

The 43-year-old actress, who plays Bree Van De Kamp on the hit ABC show, last month was nominated for a best comedy series actress Emmy. "Housewives" raked in a total of 15 nominations, including noms for her co-stars Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman.

Cross's TV credits also include "Melrose Place" and "Knots Landing."

 Most excellent!! She deserves to be happy.

Her longtime BF Richard Jordan died (of cancer, if I remember correctly) back in '93 while she was doing "Melrose Place." She took some time off and came back with a bang!

She's also the only one of the four housewives to have not been married already.

Can't wait to see wedding photos! :)

All I can say is WOW! I got to see the MP eps today where Kimberly planted to bombs at the apartments. Michael stopped her and freed Kimberly's hostage, Sydney. Then they were running around, trying to warn everyone to get out. "Kimberly's gone off the deep end! She's gonna blow the place up!" Then, Kimberly emerges from the laundry room, laughs, and says something like "Relax...it's not like that." Then she pulls out the detonator from her pocket, flicks the switches to arm the bombs, gives this evil demented look, and says, "It's worse!"

Then, it said, "TO BE CONTINUED..."

Thank goodness these are reruns so I don't have to wait for a summer hiatus to pass. Just one week and I'll get to see who lives, who dies, and who finally takes down Kimberly (if anyone does).

I can't believe I missed all this the first time around. No wonder almost everyone at JTS says Kimberly made the show. I can't imagine it without her antics. Marcia Cross is so good!

Either DH is way ahead of Lost in fan numbers...or more DH fans simply read E!'s websites instead of ET.

On October 18, 2004, I wrote:Come on...I know you're out there. Someone else besides me is watching this, right? After all, it beat out the Yankees/Red Sox game last night in the ratings.

At first, I thought it was going to be a network version of "Sex & The City." That's what the promos made it seem like. Actually, now, it's seems more like S&TC meets "Twin Peaks." Have I missed it...or have we managed to not talk about this one yet?

Just think -- a little less than a year ago, many of us were saying "'Desperate Housewives?' Hmmmm...maybe I'll tune in. Wonder if it's as good as the previews make it out to be."

Alicia - were you ever a fan of....

Dallas
Knots Landing
Dynasty
Falcon Crest
Beverly Hills 90210
Melrose Place

Also....

Twin Peaks
Northern Exposure

If you answered yes to any of these, well, DH is a mix of them all. Something for everyone and the pace moves very fast. Something you have to get used to. There's murder mystery, cheating, lying, stealing, theft, sex, you name it - it's there.

It's my new Dallas! Is what it is.....I have no idea who JR would be though.....in female format.....probably Edie!
