Eastern Atlantic Tropical Summary - EATS OUT on August 1, 2005
<img src="http://www.diamondheadweather.com/eats20050818.jpg">
Out little guy is back with a large area of saharan dust and dry air.
He's the nemesis of tropical cyclone development.
An area of disturbed weather near 35W continues moving westward
with no development.
Another tropical wave has emerged off the African coast and will
likely be baked by the SAL.
Another wave near 10W will emerge off the African coast in the next few
days. The UKMET, NOGAPS, and CMC all develop this into a tropical
cyclone over the eastern Atlantic in the next week. We'll wait and see
if that verifies.
I do not expect tropical cyclone development in the Eastern Atlantic in the
next 48-72 hours.

thats a nice looking devil graphic you got there. This is getting really interesting. We are now on August 18th. I remember in 1998 the 2nd named storm of the season did not form until August 20th and ended up with 4 overall named storms for that August month. We are now the 18th and if we dont start seeing something soon, I wonder if we are gonna see anything at all for the remainder of the month.

Good point. Recent Augusts have been extremely active, I believe this one will compensate by being bust.
