I have. We already have had 9/3/2 by August 18th! Last year was 5/3/2. So, we are currently the same as 2004 (NOT GOOD) with the hurricanes and major hurricanes...but are 4 storms ahead of them. We have already had a Cat 4 into Mexico, and a Cat 3 into Florida...and we have all season left. WOW.

Very surprised at the number of named storms in July. It almost seems like the August conditions we have had so far, are more like what we would normally see in July. Just a thought.

Very surprised. August and July should be flipped-flopped.

What Im waiting for is to see if this year's September will hold as the peak month for hurricane activity.

Agreed. Even though we still have yet to see how the rest of the season ends up and what factors will affect the season, so far it has been a really surprising wild early ride of activity.

let's see... if August and July were switched around...

July would be 2-1-0 and August 5-2-2

hmm... one heck of an active August and still an above average July

right now we are at: unconcievably active July and an average but rather boring August.

Everything has surprised me... having two major hurricanes including an almost Cat 5 in July... having our ninth named storm before Mid-August, and now, I'm surprised by how calm everything is. Irene is gone... Ex-TD 10 looks pathetic, and nothing else is that interesting.
