This official report from noaa says that from may 1 a total of 412 tornadoes were reported and this is a record to remember.

We'll have to wait several months to see what the final number of tornadoes that were spawned by the series of outbreaks to begin May.
Of course, some reports that came from multiple communities may have been of the same tornado (or the same tornado on the ground for many miles). This will be interesting nonetheless, and IMO, May 2003 will end with the record for most tornadoes in any single month, let alone, May.

Cycloneye!! Thanks for that lilnk!!!! It is a great amount of information on several of the major Tornados over the week. If some of you haven't done it, make sure you check out the further links on the first page of the link that take you to detailed reports of individual tornadow including the one that went through Monnet. It is very freaky to look at these and to realize we were watching some of this happen on the internet and posting reports!!!
