Looks like it is running into a brick wall. What's that feature immediately to the west of the remnants??

That is called shear. It is blowing the convection apart. Possibly a mlc there, but it is still too early to really tell with that loop. The radar that Lusi posted didn't show any turning.

Seems to me like the shear will continue to lessen. I say by day three... Sunday we should see something developing.

Furthermore, I agree its time to move on with this wave ,X-TD10, bunch of clouds, one T-storm system or whatever you want to call it... If not, maybe we can change the name Talkin Tropics to Talkin Trash.....Im sure we can all learn for that.....IMO

If you think I am bashing, you need to learn what bashing is. I have asked legitimate questions and have not recieved the answers which were offered and requested.

I believe my 19 yrs of education (non- met field) qualifies me to know what bashing is as it compares to constructive criticism, Mr. Houtex. Your response was not constructive in any way and yes it was bashing IMO. That being said, to keep jumping on this guy's back because he's starting to learn what hes talking about, is wrong at all levels. So he's a little off with his opinions and he writes length posts that defy logic. That doesn't give us the right to pile on the guy.

I have to agree with you. It seems like a lot of posters like to bash Elysium for the most part. I actually feel sorry for this person. This is what makes me afraid to post certain things in fear of being attacked for my comment or suggestion. This board is for everyone not just the experienced mets and if elysium is not name calling or being rude what the heck is the problem....

I don't feel sorry for him. It's not his opinions alone that bother me, but it's that he dramatically shifts from one opinion to the other. One time he says a system looks the best he's ever seen for development, then next few mins or hours or the next day he's say it's the worse thing ever. To me that's not a person who's really believe what he says, or is trying to learn, but rather is trying to stir up the board members, as he is doing now.

So instead of responding to this person with attacks, it's best to ignore him until he decides he wants to be taken more seriously.

Cinfl, I agree with you I don't really post much, for the same reasons you mentioned.

Thunder44 - That is the problem instead of ignoring it, everyone responds
with attacks.

Thats what freedom of speech is all about ladies and gentlemen. You know, many people think that freedom of speech is gonna make things handed to us on a golden plate but hey this is reality we live in. If President Bush says something most would consider stupid, he gets bashed like there is no tomorrow. Ofcourse now he is the president of the United States, but you get my point. This holds true everywhere in the "real" world. Thats the nature of free speech people. If somebody has the right to say something, then another person can also excercise his/her rights by disagreeing with the other persons view. Now if it ends up in a bashing, that is really tough to deal with. But that is the price we gotta pay for the things we say in this world. Either you dont say anythng at all(which I discourage) or you have to adjust the way you approach the comments you make but that is the nature of our right of freedom of speech. And besides, what ever happened to this view most of us Americans have of "I dont care what people think or say?"

If you make posts in the same manner...then yes...get prepared. Questions and guesses are a different story (which seems to be what people are missing). Making OUTRAGEOUS forecasts as if THIS WILL HAPPEN!!!...and then changing your mind to the opposite and saying "THIS WILL HAPPEN!!!" opens you up. So...there is no culpability for those who are sensationalists? Just let 'em? Sorry...I disagree. The best thing is to ignore them until they learn their lesson...but you HAVE to respond to some extend least anyone else be drawn into a really bad forecast made by someone who really can't forecast and probably shouldn't be attempting. Many people are in and out on this board every day...and they might read something posted by this person and there needs to be responses given.

It results to bashing when...in the past...these crazy outlandish forecasts are made and then they just disappear...no facts...no discussion...nothing...only to reappear latter with another outlandish forecasts.

There is a such thing as bringing it on yourself...and when they do that...you need to stop with the sympathy. If I shoot mayself in the foot on purpose...I don't want anyone feeling sorry for me. It's called being an adult. There are a lot of things people can do....forecasts...questions...that won't lead to being bashed. There are...also...a lot of things people can do that open themselves up for it. If they don't learn their lesson the first dozen times...whose fault is it?
