anyone think...

that Texas is going to get anything this season or will it be a dud like it was last year?..just wondering :lol:

THe later in the season, it is less likely. But there is still a couple of weeks before first front. If we dont have one by 10-1 its unlikely.

Texas will receive cooler than maximum temperatures early each day followed by a warming trend until late afternoon when the maximum temparture will be acheived. A slow cooling trend will then continue until the next morning.

As far as tropical systems, who knows?

If you look up hurricanes in Texas, quite a few have struck Sept 1 or later...Galveston (100 mile radius) has had 16 storms Sept 1 or later since the 1890's....Carla, Beulah and the 1900 storm all hit various parts of the Texas coast in early to mid Sept...

It will be amazing if we get through 2 very active seasons with absolutely nothing in Texas. Not even a tropcial storm. That's a lot of coastline.

I honestly dont think we will get one. but, then again who knows. It is my opinion that our season is over if we dont get anything by the begenning of septemeber.

Guess that makes sense, long as you read it slowly, and don't stutter... there is a hint of sarcasim here, so don't miss it ya all!
