News From Riyadh

#1 Postby Steve H. » Wed May 14, 2003 7:31 am

Nine employees of our company were killed in the attacks on the three compounds in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Monday night. They worked for Vinnell Corporation, a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation. Several were also injured in the attack, some treated and released; 15 remain hospitalized. Please put the families of those killed in your prayers, as well as the families of those killed, some of whom were living on the compound during the attack. This is getting too close to home :o

Terrible News Steve. I understand that we have asked everyone at our embassy to get out of the Country.

It's sad to hear about the bombings that occurred in Saudi Arabia. I'm very sorry to hear that your co-workers were victims of that blast!

Steve, wow that is close to home. I'm very sorry that its affected your company and fellow workers. Prayers to their families, and for you for peace.

Thanks guys. I do not know any of them personally (their H/Q are at a different site) but there have been many employees from many companies deployed to regions that are dangerous. Hate to say it, but I sense more trouble coming. Seems more and more we heard of or know of someone who's been affected by terrorism, war, etc. What a shame. :(

I echo everyone who has spoken before me, Steve.

No offense, of course... but at least you didn't know them personally, that would make it even harder.
