We *should* minimally have a depression at this point, I'm very sure of that based on satellite pics and surface observations. Let's see what the recon says

I'm not an expert at reading this so someone help me out.....am I to interpret the last ob as being 22.5N 75.4W with a wind of only 12 knots?

Yep, 12 knots from the north-northeast (019°). Keep in mind that the plane was still above 14000 feet at the time, and that it also is barely at the fringe of the system.

I didn't check the latitude... senorpepr did... and correctly noted that the format is degrees minutes, not decimal degrees.
