I expect statements like this from myself. In moderate tones and as a last resort. Overthrowing a legitimate (read lawful) and democratically appointed leader is something that should never be taken lightly, and done only to perserve the strictest set of national interests. Pressure should be applied, but assassination should be off the table. Officially (unless things have changed in the chaos of 9/11) heads of state cannot be assassinated according to US law. Which isn't to say it wouldn't happen in the event of contingencies. Rather, Pat Robertson should shut up.
He's most definetely not Christian. To promote something like realism from that fundie pulpit is just wicked. Of course I've read enough Pat Robertson quotes to know the man is (if there is a god) of the devil. So its not surprising.

As a Republican, I certainly couldn't stand by him. He supports abortion in China.
And it's not the first time he's suggested assassination:

And it's not the first time he's suggested assassination:
I know it sounds somewhat Machiavellian and evil, to think that you could send a squad in to take out somebody like Osama bin Laden, or to take out the head of North Korea, but isn't it better to do something like that, to take out Milosevic, to take out Saddam Hussein, rather than to spend billions of dollars on a war that harms innocent civilians and destroys the infrastructure of a country?

Anybody remember when he said that someone should blow up the U.S. State Department?

Kind of...I believe "Colonel" precedes his first name. At that time, wasn't he the defacto head of the Libyan military. That changes the rules some...
