Do you have a few hundred thousand dollars to pay for it?
Its a radar system/model combo that TV stations buy, its very expensive, but very cool. The only way you can see it is if one of your local stations owns one and shows the model.
However, the model aspect of the system is pretty bad after 48 hours or so. The real time radar analysis is great during severe weather though.

No Link. It's only available to tv stations as it's supposed to be expensive. Here's a writeup on it from a while back:

Vipir is a storm tracking/radar program that stations can purchase. It computes its own tracking and development. It is very expensive though. So its not a model per-say.
That's the best thing I can find. In my search, I apparently reported that Breck & Baskin said it had done very well for Arlene and Bret as well. But I didn't watch them for those storms.

Thank You Steve I was not aware of that and I appriciate the kind response. What a weird system we got on our hands.

Are you saying my response, which was before his, was not kind? Doesn't read off as mean to me, the first line was just a joke.

Its cool!
Was a little confrontational with my first comments, which wasn't intended. Really meant for just the link there, it has some good background information, it IS the official site of VIPIR, from the company that made it.

As I said above, its all good!
Also, BTW, People in SE LA better not be taking Breck's advice too seriously at this point. Look at the NHC track.

Once again--
Bob Breck is saying that this will not be a New Orleans Storm. He still thinks it will stay east of Florida!!

Already?????????? Is Boob Breck completly nuts????? I am not saying that this storm is going any particular place but to call it for anyplace at this time is nuts. Even the NHC is talking about how problematic the forecast is now with the slow movement/weak steering etc. Breck needs to really stop the antics and be a little more responsible. At this point anything can happen including his viper solution. To me the key is that ANYTHING is possible at this point.

Time will tell, as always.

Yeah, but this morning's NHC discussion all but called the GFS solution a buncha crap.

VIPIR???
Did predict the Charley and Cindy landfalls accurately when they were about 2 days out, but I remember Bob Breck showing the first Vipir predictions for Dennis and it had it coming ashore around Morgan City and Houma, LA. That was way off, just like the north turn will be way off again. It's hard to bet against the NHC lately!!! They have been very accurate!!!!! They pinpointed Pensocola for Dennis far in advance!!!
