No we're not, but HOLY COW ... it sure is windy and stormy! I woke up at 4:45 for my first push of the snooze button and heard the garage door rattling and the wind chimes chimin' and I just had to get up and see what was going on outside. We've got lots of clouds and thunder and lightning and it's awesome. I wish I could stay home and enjoy the weather, but it's time to get ready for work. I've been trying to capture a picture of the lightning, but it's gone by the time my camera snaps the picture. I'll keep trying.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
530 AM EDT WED AUG 24 2005

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
DEPRESSION TWELVE...LOCATED OVER THE CENTRAL BAHAMAS ABOUT 95
MILES SOUTHEAST OF NASSAU.

A LARGE TROPICAL WAVE IS LOCATED ABOUT 1000 MILES WEST OF THE CAPE
VERDE ISLANDS. THE ASSOCIATED THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS CURRENTLY
POORLY ORGANIZED...WHILE ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS ARE ONLY MARGINALLY
FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT. THERE IS STILL SOME POTENTIAL FOR THE
SYSTEM TO DEVELOP INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION DURING THE NEXT COUPLE
OF DAYS AS IT MOVES WESTWARD OR WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE INCREASED THIS MORNING IN ASSOCIATION
WITH A TROPICAL WAVE OVER THE NORTHEASTERN CARIBBEAN SEA.
UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE CURRENTLY NOT FAVORABLE FOR SIGNIFICANT
DEVELOPMENT.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
THURSDAY.

PUBLIC ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL DEPRESSION TWELVE ARE ISSUED UNDER WMO
HEADER WTNT32 KNHC AND UNDER AWIPS HEADER MIATCPAT2.
FORECAST/ADVISORIES ARE ISSUED UNDER WMO HEADER WTNT22 KNHC AND
UNDER AWIPS HEADER MIATCMAT2.

FORECASTER BEVEN


TWO mentions the wave moving just south of Puerto Rico right now but at this time no development from it however scattered showers are the rule here today.
