Cloud Pattern

Looking at the movement of the cloud pattern over the SE, it seems that clouds are moving SW over Florida Panhandle into the GOM towards LA and Northern Texas Coast. If that pattern continues, Pensacola may be protected!!!!

Not to seem as though I wishing...which I am not, but Pensacola might be a better landfall..since it might only be able to be 85-95 mph...IMO. But, a track towards Texas, IMO...125-145 mph.

Isn't there a high pressure in the western gulf that would block movement in this direction? Katrina would then turn abruptly northward, right? Comments.

Actually...it would be more of a high to the east over Georgia/South Carolina...pushing it in the general direction of Louisiana/Texas.
