The faster it moves, the less time it has to strengthen (not an absolute, but, that's what often does happen when this close to land) - the 6 hour loop does show it moving faster, and, if the ridge to the north does strengthen quickly, that would add to the quicker motion.

There have been no pressure drops since 5PM yesterday. Seems strange.

I think we may be seeing a pattern where the landfall shifts northward.
NHC has it coming in Broward (around 26.1) and Derek has it at 26.4 which is more like Palm Beach County.

Official movement is now NNW instead of WNW.

So... a landfall in Palm Beach County or even NORTH of here would not surprise me.

With Jeanne they kept expecting a TURN to the NW which came later than expected. Now they are expecting a TURN to the W which if it comes later than expected could put it into the South Central Florida coast; missing SE Florida

Again, Dade and possibly Broward; could be spared.
The worst weather should be to the North and not South of the storm so they could get lucky again, as could us in Palm Beach County.

Just my opinion!!

Try to use the visible loop only at this time of day - that IR loop can be very confusing at times, and, as OCM's say, the visible loop is like a view from the shuttle - what you see is what is there (unlike the IR at times).
