Outflow really appears to be improving, along with the circulation. Although where the center is/will be located is still cloudy, it is now gradually getting easier to, at the very least, make a fairly good guess.
I agree... now it appears to be following a track more similar to northwest or west-northwest motion.

Where's gkrangers and his "bear watching" when you need him? We certainly need SOMETHING to convince others to really watch this system closely.
I agree... it will be really interesting what RECON will find... they should be approaching the system shortly.

still not too worried ...
I'll probably gas up my car, but that's about it. Here in Jupiter, we're talking about it at the office and trying to figure out if/when we might need to close temporarily. But that's about it. The fact is, I lived through Jeanne's southern eyewall last year. And we got hit by Frances pretty good (though I was out of town for the storm). So I think people aren't all that concerned about what should (at most) be a strong TS, minimal hurricane. And unless she slows down dramatically (giving her more time to strengthen), there's no way I'll bother putting shutters up.

Well here in North Palm Beach not much is going on. I went to the store today to get extra water and batteries and it was not crowded. Then I went and filled up on gas...no lines. If you are in SoFla I highly recommend you fill up your gas tank today. As soon as we are under Hurricane warning things are gonna go mad!
On a local note.....Albertson's has 6 packs of 12 0z Dannon water bottles on sale 10 for $10. I got sixty bottles of water for 10 bucks. Great deal.

Bryan Norcross was real lowkey at 2pm. He basicially made it seem like the storm was poorly organized and that the only real threat was from clusters of rain inside the storm. He made it seem like Katrina was having a hard time wrapping around a center and the causal person may have dismissed the storm. I was real surprised, considering Bryan's hyperbole.
