my condition is that I am still at work! I hope this storm does not catch people off guard like Irene did in '99. I imagine I will be going into work tomorrow too.

From my office in downtown Miami overlooking the skyline, there's a buildup of clouds to my west heading north to south and the winds are from east to west from the bay

All quiet on the eastern front for now... but definitely an odd feel to the air.

I see patchy cloud cover in all directions (normal convection) getting pulled from N to S. Although eeriely enough I feel surface winds blowing easterly like usual from a dead calm earlier this morning. Possible ESE wind @ 4 MPH.

Clouds dont look sheared at top, looks like the flow from the storm dominates a good amount of altitude, except the surface for an unknown reason. All this is visual observations. I don't see any deterioration on the horizon as far as biscayne and a bit beyond.

Seabreeze slightly more blustery than usual from the west. You can see dirty clouds and agitated cumulous in a fair weather sky with some cirrus.

This is interesting to me because knowing what is happening I can see the subtle difference from a normal day.

The fair-weather disturbed cumulous is now entrained from the NE.

Bright, dry overhead...

From Miami Lakes, Northwest Miami Dade...25.91, 80.31

Heavy clouds, light breeze, some minimal gusts, nothing substantial ("gust" is not even the right word...). Sporatic rain showers. Brief but heavy rain. None at the moment.

This morning in Key Largo: heavy overcast, no rain at the moment. Had about two inches total accumulation from yesterday afternoon/evening rain when I emptied the gauges this morning. Breeze is somewhat coolish.
