I'm just reporting the measurements I'm making on my screen from the 1-hour positions. They're facts, not opinions. Clearly the center was moving WNW around 00Z before the westward, or even slightly south of west wobble began.
As for my credentials, I've been a professional met for the past 25 years. Born and raised and still live right on the Gulf coast. Been tracking hurricanes for 44 years. Hurricanes are my specialty.

Wxman, I don't know where those comments came from above from pcolaguy, they were completely unnecessary.
Please continue with your updates on the movement. You have an amazing amount of knowledge.

Well personally WxMan, I think you are doing a great job. It's just interesting seeing the differences in opinion from pro mets. I have been listening to Dr. Lyons tonight and once again they just reported at 9pm est that it is headed due west at 9mph and heading towards Ft. Lauderdale. He also says that they don't expect it to rapidly intensify over night.

Just a thought...but if the storm crosses further south over Florida, not only could it end up further west for its 2nd landfall, but it will have more time over the Gulf (moving from south to north) and it might spend less time over the Florida peninsula...since the tip of Florida narrows....plus if it crosses the Peninsula moving West instead of NW, it will have less territory to traverse....I guess what I'm getting at is the Peninsula might turn into just a speed bump instead of a major obstacle to development.

Well, Happy Birthday! Enjoy your cake and TV time, but don't go away for too long. Your expertise is very enlightening. Thanks for sharing!

This is what Air Force met had to say
(There is a distinct center because they have a vortex message...but it is elongated...especially in the mid-levels. YOu can see the elongated MLC by watching the long-range Miami loop. People must remember that the precip you see out on the edge of the radar is not at the sfc...but in the mid and upper levels...because of line-of-sight problems (round earth...straight beam). With the upper low movins SW of Kat...it's stretching the circulation E-W...which should (SHOULD) begin to move it more in that direction over the next 12 hours.)
