Lat: 26.22 Lon: -080.27

I just drove from I-95/Cypress, west on Cypress all the way to Pine Island. Moderate rain and light wind at I-95/Cypress, verrrry slowly tapering off to sprinkles out west. Winds variable ~15mph (guesstimate), the flags at the new BankAtlantic building indicated winds coming from the NW.

I had a nice experience with the rain, putting up my mother in laws shutters around 12. Nice warm steady rain, mildly gusty, tiny drops, slanted from north to south.

Miami Lakes update...heavy rain, increasing wind. Nothing to panic about, but something tropical this way comes, for sure!

Edit: Wind WNW at 22, gusts 33. Pressure 29.65 and falling.

Just heard a plane overhead so the winds can not be that strong. Conditions have definitely deteriorated in the last hour.

East Boca Raton, I have about 7 or 8 large branches down all around my yard and they keep falling. People are yelling to one another outside in their frenzy to put up shutters. I don't have any proper wind measurements but this is some pretty strong wind. The rain is coming down fairly hard as well.

Here in northern Highlands County (Sebring) it is currently overcast, though we did have two outermost rainbands come through the area in the past two hours.

Here in North Palm Beach the rain has settled in...the wind is minimal...but we've had a few good gusts.....hardly anybody in my neighborhood has their shutters up, including us. A few houses that have the accordian and roll down shutters are buttoned up and the neighbor behind me actually put plywood up....but I think he's the only one..lol.
