Looks more like a southerly trend?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Wobble wobble and they don't fall down. Sorry but I just couldn't resist that one. When the wobble was said it made me think of the webble wobble. Now back on subject. Differently looks like it is moving more WSW but I am no expert.

Dr Steve Lyons (who is an expert) just said it's still moving WSW.

If you ask me,no way this is going to the Big Bend.

Just waiting for DH's GUTS CHECK to show us all the bigger picture. Obviously, the fluid atmosphere is setting up the stage - and all the players are just waiting for thier turn to influence the show!!

NHC says south of west (from 9pm adv):

Katrina is moving south of due west near 6 mph and this general
motion is expected to continue during the next 24 hours.

Yes... the NHC is going to have to shift south at 11pm.

The 11pm advisory will be interesting. Flip Flop of the track? More west? Who knows?

Seems like the more south and west Katrina gets in the gulf the greater the threat for my area...not good but I honestly would hate to the P'cola area get slammed again.

I don't think we have much to worry about at all PTrackerLA. She's a Florida girl (unfortunately for Florida).

Im new to the board, but in my opinion if it comes out farther south than expected wouldnt that make the big bend area of FL more possible since the north component that the storm is going to take would have more time to interact with the storm. Just a thought let me know what you think.
