Morning all - it's 2:36 where I am - what ARE we doing???

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I'm waiting until about 3, 315 to see if the latest radar shots showed a wobble or the true turn. Then I'm gonna fall asleep with TWC on, just in case anything happens.

I was a bit surprised so many other "owls" were up. Hopefully we'll have a better feel for the "semi-uncertainty"/dread and preparation that will come to all our friends in the Northern GOM - stop wishing for change and start acting on the present. . .

Anyone got a clue how to drag 87 year old parents out of the house they've lived in for over 30 years?

Sleep? What's that? Even if I went to bed right now, I'd watch TWC all night, and evertime they have their Tropical Update, I'd have to sit up and turn the volume up so that I don't miss a thing. My husband has banned me from storm watching in the bedroom! So....I just won't go to bed.

Oh yeah, not happening. My grandmother loves anything morbid, so she won't move. We had a tornado come within a block or two of our house and when I told her what was happening, she refused to move out of her chair claiming it'd be a good way to die. So... I'm no help.

Well, I will keep my fingers crossed and tongue busy tomorrow and Sunday if the track doesn't change. My entire family is in the path.
