OK...so if she takes the Gulfport to Hattiesburg route, what might hattiesburge see assuming a landfall of a cat 4. My parents are wanting to go there, but I thinking they would be just as safe with me in Mobile, if that track pans out

I would go to Mobile before I would go to Hattiesburg .....done the Hattiesburg thing in Georges ...BIG MISTAKE

I'm also in Mobile and made motel reservations in Hattisburg yesterday morning when we thought Katrina was going in east of us. There's no way I'd go to Hattisburg now with my elderly parents. However, I'll keep the reservations until Sunday afternoon ---- just in case.

You would go to Mobile on a Gulfport strioke? You have to be kidding me !!
55 miles east of gulfport here, and conditions with a storm this large and powerful would be awful. Or maybe you were speaking of a Mobile I am not familiar with. :lol:

Hattiesburg would not be safe at all!! Go NW of here because the front that is supposed to pick up Katrina will be through that area and no way she could go that way.Try Shreveport or Dallas. Anywhere up that way.
