My thoughts...Surreal Worst Case Scenario Unfolding

Go west. Doesn't matter that NO is 50 mile from the Gulf. On the east side of NO is Lake Ponchartrain and Bretno Sound. If you look at a map

you will see that the city can experience storm surge and has before. That has been always one of the fears. Storm coming up the river that bring water up the gulf into Lake Ponchartrain and then surging both of them over the leeves.

As of right now we're not evacuating....although we just got word we are now under mandatory evacs...still watching and waiting.
Gene and Lee are on their own at Hannity for a few days!! lol

Hey...I've been worrying about you. Then I remembered a long time ago you told me you came here for 'Canes, and I figured if you had a way to get here, you'd be here!

PLEASE BE SAFE...and don't worry about things at hanityland. It'll be fine. Can you just post an update at hannity whenever this is over. There's LOTS of people there worried about you too.

I think the one thing we have to be thankful for, if that's even possible in this scenario, is that there's been a couple of days notice so that evacuations can take place.

My thoughts are with all of you in that area, good luck and get movin' now.

Yes, we must be thankful that this occured in this era and not twenty years ago even. Techonology has saved so many lives.

Yes, that's true. And the other "good" thing is that people had the weekend to prepare and go. If it was a weekday there would be a lot more people with anxieties about leaving jobs, etc.

I feel so bad for all those people. It's SO stressful to go through this, I know so well.

Have a lot of preps to make around the house...picking things up in the yard...securing things, etc.
