Here is another interesting site to watch:

http://www.nws.noaa.gov/mdl/etsurge/index.htm?coast=gulf&load=gfmap.htm&map=0-48

It's the NOAA Extratropical Storm Surge site. Check out the predicted levels for Waveland, MS

Station 42003 - E GULF 260 nm South of Panama City, FL

32.5ft seas !!!!! :( :( I was caught in a fishing boat during a storm 4 years ago and the waves were only in the 20 foot range and it was no fun at all. I was only 14 at the time and remember the whole thing. Lets all say a prayer for anyone that is caught out in the GOM right now for there safe return.
