N Winds on Upper TX Coast

#1 Postby KatDaddy » Sun Aug 28, 2005 7:31 am

Wow! What an sureal this morning. We are feeling the effects of Katrina with light N winds this morning which are increasing. Normally its dead calm but not today. This storm is massive. I do not even want to think about Invest 90 headed toward the GOM

I'm in awe of the surge we're already getting. Pretty much everyone has been forced off the beach in the High Island area.

Last night was pretty rough here... We had some major storms just blow in out of no where! We had some great lightning.... and when I got home from work we had no power at home... It was out for a few hours... Its so much fun to drive home from work in complete darkness! Its sooooo weird! All the streetlights were out.... and stop lights... Really weird... Got a good amount of rain too here in the Copperfield area.... Looking foward for some more storms tonight....
