you have my vote for being 100% right. They (she) knew that they were going to put you in an incredibly awkward situation.

I personally would not judge this friend, for doing what is making him happy...you never know what truly makes another person tick...I'm pretty open minded when it comes to most things. However, your friends girlfriend was way out of line for coming to the door in that manor, and your friend is acting like a jerk to base your friendship on the acceptence of his girlfriends behavior. No one should force that lifestyleor any other, upon someone unwillingly, but in the same breath, we don't need to judge others who choose to be different from us.

Well, Perry, once again, you find out who your real friends are. I don't want to judge them by what they do in the privacy of their own home, but to condemn you as wrong for wanting them to clothe themselves in the presence of company is crazy.

In all honesty, I was afraid to enter his home...this woman was a complete stranger; he hadn't told me he was letting her live there. For all I knew she was some fruitcake that snuck into his house (like that wacko did to David Letterman a few years ago. I didn't think my ex-friend would date anyone like that...so I wasn't exactly sure who she was.

I called him to make sure he knew there was a naked young woman in his home saying she was his girlfriend "Heather"....that's when he got ticked off -- because I was trying to alert him to a possible stalker or nutcase).

Our friendship is over....which I truly hate, but it's decision, and IMO his loss.

Perry - this somewhat reminds me of an old friend, that just out and out dropped me from her life. With no reason, explanation, nothing. But another good mutual friend, Jeanne, and I could piece it together. Apparently I had said one too many comments about the way she was going after a married man. Patty was practically throwing herself at him. Guess I really hit a raw nerve one time and she just decided, that's it, Mary's out of my life. I had even taken a trip to Hawaii with her for a week, we used to hang out weekly. But this married man attraction she had going was just too big for me to ignore (my ex-husband cheated on me and we got divorced, so it's a big deal in my book). I remember calling her but she'd abruptly hang up the phone, I'd send her a note, no reply. Jeanne just said give it up, that this was Patty's way of dealing with something upsetting. Guess she didn't want to face the fact she had no chance with this married man or if she did, he'd never divorce his wife. So I gave up. I decided after a week of this insane behavior at our ages (she was 26, me 29 then) it was crazy to even WANT to be her friend after that. Forward 2 years and I was remarrying a wonderful man, my husband now. After our Rehearsal Dinner a group of us went out for a few drinks, my last night and all to freedom. Patty was there. Oooohing all over the married man (the bartender). We should have known we'd run into her. I was very nice though - I thought, oh what the heck, I'll be the big person here. I just smiled and said hello. I thought yeah if you hadn't been so silly back then, you'd be invited to my wedding tomorrow. She did put 2 and 2 together, and did I feel bad she wasn't coming to my wedding? Not at all. Sometimes you just have to hold your head up high, do the right thing and let the chips fall where they may. That's what you did here. You may look back a few times but mostly it's best to just move forward. Sad I know but in time it won't be so sad.

Sorry for that wordy reply but I felt like I could relate, just a little. Hard when friendships suddenly end and you didn't even see it coming.

You were right to stand your ground, Perry. I would've gotten away from there extremely quickly!
