Winds nearing hurricane force on SE LA coast

Winds sustained near 60 knots at station BURL1 last hour. Waiting for the update for this hour. Judging by radar and the last few hours of observations it seems likely that hurricane force winds are now on the extreme SE LA coast.

125 to 150 S. off the coast of S. LA. Only more on the south quadrant.

Yep...as of 9 PM CDT...sustained winds at BURL1 now at 60 knots with gusts to 78 knots.

Also of note are the pressure falls at the various stations. The best pressure falls are right along the NHC track. New Orleans or bust.
