Well, I think it's a valid shot, but the satellite wasn't taking pictures for awhile. Check out the loop below and look at the time. Right before the last shot, there's like a 3 hour block that the Satellite doesn't show. It jumps from 3:45 to 6:15 We'll know if it's a glitch or not on the next frame.

convection building back west (And in the immediate East and NE eyewall) has been interesting me for the last 20-30 minutes. It seems that the dry air/missing storm that were showing up for a while have gone away. While the trough has done a number on the west side of the katrina, I think the convection going around has to be a sign that it is starting to get its act back together.

i think the southern eyewall disappearance may have been a result of the intense squall that went thru the radar site.....the disappearance and reappearance seems to correlate...
