strengthening
Look at the south western part of Katrina, she looks to be strengthening on the radar.

She is far more organized than Frances or even Ivan this late into landfall and looks better organized now. Katrina has never followed rules, why would she now?

Does anyone have the latest on the status of the levees around Pontchartrain? I'm at work & I'm relying on all of the great updates from you guys.
Word on the levees is that levee section nine was breeched on the East side of the city. That's the only report on the levees that I know of right now, but most of the levees have held, but the lake did top over a little bit I believe.

Frances became a wreck going through FL, Katrina looks "great" for so long inland. A once in a lifetime storm.
