Shep Smith on Bourbon Street

Sorry if this has been posted. He was jsut standing on Bourbon St. and Beinville street. French quarter looks fine. He says there are windows blown out but otherwise it is just fine there.

He also did just say there is alot of flooding and damage thruout the eastern side of NO though. And that the 7 people that stayed behind in Grand Isle are unaccounted for. So Sad

Its very, very good to hear that the French Quarter made it through OK! So much historical value in that area.....so many things that just could not be replaced.... I would have been very sad if it had been destroyed.

Unfortunately, it sounds like most of the area wasn't so lucky...

I heard some of those 7 were on their roof. Maybe they're still there?
