Will the name Katrina be retired?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

This is premature, but Katrina, :Can: ya need to be buried DEEP.

Ba-bye Katrina, and hello to I've decided Kelly should be the replacement name.

If the reports of a storm surge over 30 feet in Gulfport are accurate, and other reports indicating that much of the MS coast south of I-10 was flooded, then there could be hundreds if not thousands dead. Katrina may rank as one of the most devastating hurricanes to ever hit the U.S.

If they don't then I will personally write a letter to the WMO to retire it.
