This has topped Andrew. How on earth could that little storm have done more damage then this monster. There is no way Andrews will remine the top storm. I'm really thinking at this time that Katrina is around 50 billion.

New Orleans is flooded for miles and miles everywhere you look. Basically everthing up to I-10 from the Lake is flooded.

Yes, NO is for New Orleans. There is a massive flood for miles and miles.

Andrew you called a little storm? LOL perhaps in size but not for the damage it did. "Trust me". As for overall damage, Move over Andrew, make a place for Katrina.

Thank you! I meant "yes" it is horrible!!

CNN just showed new video that included the Coast Guard rescuing someone from the roof of their house! :eek:

Just watching CNN and showed a Coast Guard rescue of a man on a roof.....Amazing videos Will try to find them on here and link them for those of you at work

Finally found time tonight to look at the Times-Picayune series on NO storm vulnerability. I'm thinking somebody nailed it pretty good...the model path on the Cat 3 here is only a few miles west of today's actual path.

Yeah I saw that rescue. Stunning. Only the very top of this man's roof was uncovered. His home was surrounded by mud and water. The Coast Guard rocks.
