(OT)--storm debris

#1 Postby Recurve » Mon Aug 29, 2005 9:39 pm

After every storm, a few teeth-grinding topics are bound to come up. In the interest of sanity and productivity, you might want to skip posts with these or similar titles:

    What were people thinking?
    Damn government's fault!
    Was too a Category 4!
    NHC dropped the ball!
Could have been a lot worse!
It's not as bad as they're saying...
What happens if another Cat 5 hits there next week!
    Levees-shmevees
If you want to live on the beach...
    Cloud seeding worked?!!
When will I get to ride out a storm?

Feel free to add your own.
Lots of destruction and misery around. Hope we can help each other with good information, avoid the bad.

not so much here, but in less educated places...like at work...i cringe when i hear the "surge is caused by low pressure vacuum" genius.

I thought the board was going to overflow with "I told you so" topics by the amateurs who got the forecast right.

You mean the "amateurs" who make the same forecast for death and destruction every time? The law of averages finally scored. Just be ready to drop the hammer on them when they start patting themselves on the back.
