houma underwater? (VERY worried)

My mother went back to South Lafourche right away after the hurricane hit and said that the damage didnt look too bad. She said Houma was completely fine and almost undamaged. She just couldnt go past galliano, so she went back up to Larose and stayed at our home, which luckily survived.

Someone a little while ago said Houma is underwater.. my mom said that there was barely even any flooding in our hometown though. However, now the cellphone network is down.. and I cant get in touch with her.

Is it really underwater right now? Did a levee break there?

the last thing I heard from a friend with family in Houma was that is was realtively ok.

If it's underwater it's happened since this morning.

Everything I've seen says that Houma got through pretty well. I don't believe there's been any change in that.

I talked to someone in houma..no water some damage, no electricity in some parts

I think Houma is flooding now also but I do not know why. I'll try and find out more info. Flooding started overnight.

Well, i just called my mother who lives in Larose. She is there right now, and I managed to get a signal. She has no word on Houma, but she says that Larose is not flooded right now, which is in Lafourche Parish (east of houma).

I will say that Larose and downwards is pretty damaged, a lot of houses lost roofs. I dont know about this flooding though.
